Family Home Evening? More Like, “Family Home Easy!”

It’s the fun family home evening DVD series for busy families. Each FHE on DVD is a complete family home evening lesson you play on your TV. They are designed to be watched over and over again. The DVD takes you step by step through a complete lesson, pausing for opening and closing prayers, scripture, testimony, and questions.

Pick a conductor! Just use the remote control to conduct your family home evening.

Opening and closing Song. Each song is selected from the Primary Children’s Song Book or Hymn book with words & visual cues so everyone can sing along.

Opening and Closing Prayer. The conductor choses someone to offer an opening and closing prayer. Don’t forget to bless the refreshments (the only thing not included).

Lesson Time! Each narrated lesson is 3-6 minutes long. The principles are taught clearly using simple terms and attractive illustrations.

Don’t forget your Scriptures! FHE on DVD asks you to look up a scripture and discuss it as a family.

Story Time. Children want to watch FHE on DVD over and over again just to see the animated stories that go along with each lesson.

Share your Testimony. Now that you have your children’s undivided attention, take a moment to share your testimony about the lesson topics.

Never the same experience. Each time you play the DVD you are asked different questions. The DVD randomly selects 5 questions about the lesson.

I also wanted to let you know how much we LOVE these DVDs. We have been trying for so long to have consistent FHE, but with a 9 yr old, 4 yr old, and a 2 yr old, it's often hard to do something that caters to each one of their attention spans. All 3 of our kids actually sat through the whole DVD, participated and REMBERED to be a "Happy Helper". Over the last couple of weeks, my very mischievous 4 yr old son will do something nice and say, "I'm being a Happy Helper Mom"! I saw it at Seagull books and purchased the Happy Helpers to see how we liked it. I have three girls 7,4,2 and they loved it. They actually sat through the whole lesson and paid attention, they sang the songs loudly, and answered the questions. We went back and watched one part of the video so they could answer the questions again that they missed. Very nice product.

These FHE DVD's have been to answer to our family's dilemma. My husband is not a member and my 7 year old and 5 month old are very active. I have been trying to hold a "regular" FHE for several years now. So far we have had 3 FHE's (one each Sunday) with these DVD's. My 7 year old loves to conduct and it actually hold the attention of my 5 month old. Thanks for the tool.

Heard about FHE on DVD through my wife - I think she picked one up at Navoo Books in Houston. We tried it out and found that our neighbor's kids started coming over to have FHE with us, and really did enjoy the message of "The Happy Helper" :) So, now we plan to share more of the titles with our children and their friends! What I really like about these dvd's is that you have a chance to pause and let each person bear a testimony of their experience with the principle being taught. I also really like the fact that the music and words for the songs are right on the screen.

The DVD was great--we really enjoyed it.....WOW--a 20 minute FHE with everything laid out for you. My children loved it and so did I. My husband and I both work full time and FHE is very hard to fit in with homework, etc...and kids arent old enough to prepare a lesson and share the responsibility--so YEAHHHH!!! Great idea.
